Tuhon Kanishka was also the first to bring Kali Unarmed Combat to India’s military, special forces, and police units, revolutionizing their approach to self-defense and combat readiness.

Tuhon Kanishka has had the privilege of training directly under the guidance of Grand Tuhon Leo Gaje for more than a decade earning the highest rank of Master in Filipino Kali, known as Tuhon. As the Managing Director and Sole Authority for teaching Pekiti-Tirsia Kali in India, he plays a vital role in advancing the art’s practice in military, special forces, and law enforcement settings, focusing on both unarmed combat and edged weapon techniques.

Specializing in close-quarter knife combat, sentry silencing techniques, ground fighting, and extreme close-quarter unarmed combat, Tuhon Kanishka has designed specialized training programs for India’s Para Special Forces, which have now incorporated Pekiti-Tirsia Kali as a regular part of their curriculum. His expertise extends to advanced skills such as joint manipulation, muscle-tendon destruction, bone breaking, and even the art of Death Touch (Dim Mak/Dian Xue).
